IE7 Pro, move that File Menu back to the top

Filed under: Self Help, microsoft — bigred @ 12:05 pm

In an article by Robert McLaws, Windows Vista: Six Months In, Your Mileage May Vary, he mentioned about a add-on for IE7, called IE7 Pro.  Let me tell you this is awesome.  I love it.  It works great.  I can also move the file menu above all the buttons.  It’s like having OCD.  You know its ok that the file menu has been moved, but as soon as the developers aren’t looking….YOU MOVE IT BACK!!!!!!!!!

Great tool.  I recommend it to anyone who likes IE7 or uses IE7 for development purposes.

Here are just a few of the reasons I like this.

  • Great for people that need at least 101 tabs open at once.
  • The tabs can function much the way Mozilla’s do (auto open new tabs)
  • Inline search is another great add-on that everyone should have that is included too.
  • Basic function like Grease Monkey
  • AdBlock
  • plugin architecture

Dog Eat Dog World. Joey Harrington steps into the ring (again).

Filed under: Sports, humor — admin @ 7:42 am

In the wake of all the Michael Vick contraversy we must find ourselves looking at that fact that their new No. 1 is going to be Joey Harrington.  As Lions fans we all tried to love him for about as long as his first game lasted with him.   After that he became an embarsement.  He just never could get any consistency.  I never knew what to believe the real problem was.  The rest of the team wasn’t that great (still isn’t), the coaching staff wasn’t that great and all the top drafted recievers seemed to be on the injery list.

The rest of the team set aside, it was no excuse for how much he sucked.  Lion’s traded him to Miami, where he fell into the No. 1 spot, only to be later replaced again.  Now in April, Alanta took him under their wing.  ONCE AGAIN HE BECOMES NO. 1.  Whats going on?  Is Atlanta doomed?  Maybe.  Either this guy needs to turn around his game, or Atlanta better start searching for there next No. 1 guy.

Stupid Money

Filed under: Complaint — bigred @ 6:34 am

I’d be interested to know if all bank ATM’s like to screw you over like mine.

Today I rode my motorcycle into work.  I left early to try to beat the rush hour traffic.  On the way into work I stopped at my Bank’s ATM.  This way I don’t have to pay the $2 fee for using some other banks.  I was on a roll.  I had saved money, and I now had my coffee money.  Once I got to work I decided to go get that coffee.  When I went down to the cafeteria, they would not break my $20, knowing that I wasn’t going to spend it on their crappy food.

I think cash machines should start shooting out coins, $5’s, and $10’s.  We shouldn’t have to be forced to get large bills that prevent us from getting are caffeine / energy drinks in the morning.

"Why you little…D’oh!!"

Anyone that’s been around for at least the past 18 years should recognize that phrase originated from the beloved Homer Simpson.

I Had a chance to check out the Simpson’s Movie this past weekend. Andy and I had a great time. Of course it was another crazy story except lengthen out. I would say it’s a great movie to watch because, it’s the Simpson’s. Everyone has to love them.

Comparing it to the TV show, it was equal to their good episodes. I think some of their early Halloween work still tops what this movie produced.

I recommend if your a Simpson fan to watch this and don’t delay. Everyone will get a kick out of Spider Pig.

Muskegon Bike Time

Filed under: Auto, Photos — bigred @ 8:10 am

This past weekend I took a ride Friday out to the Muskegon Bike Time.  It was a great ride with my friend.  When we got there we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of bikes there.  4-5 thousand bikes were around.  I wish I would have had a camera Friday night.  There were many bikes and other sites that would have been great to share.  The models were out, the beer was flowing, and the engines were rumbling.  However, we didn’t stay long because we had to ride back and wanted to get back before dark.(which didn’t happen).

Saturday I headed back and met up with other people there.  I think there must have been 3-4 times the amount of bikes on Saturday.  The pictures can’t give justice to the amount of bikes there.  It was a constant rumble.  It was pretty neat.  This was the first time Muskegon had done this, and I think it surpassed their (the planers) expectations.  I ended up bringing my camera and got a few shots Saturday.  I’m already looking forward to 2008’s Bike Time.  It was a fun time.

Lindsay Lohan > = Paris Hilton

Filed under: Complaint — bigred @ 7:52 am

Is Lindsay Lohan worse than Paris Hilton.  Of course she’s in the news for driving DRUNK with a suspended licence.  Oh that coke in your pocket….of course it wasn’t yours, you were just holding it.

I would have to say that Lindsay is a much more talented person and much prettier than Paris, but it seams that she went just as wrong as Paris, maybe worse.   I guess my opinion says, she is in the wrong and if it were any old person, they’d have to go to jail.  I know if it were me, I wouldn’t have had the 25K to get bailed out of jail.

Does she just need better direction in her life?
Should she go to jail for awhile?
Does anyone even really care?

Grand Central beta user with accounts to give away

Filed under: Technology — bigred @ 3:09 pm

I have been invited to join Grand Central as a beta user. If you have any idea what it is or would like an account. I have some invites that I can hand out. Let me know if you interested in an account if you already haven’t applied for a beta maybe I can hook you up or trade for some other crazy beta account.

EDIT:  More information on Grand Central can be found over HERE  => http://www.grandcentral.com/support/howitworks/
Google of course purchased them not long ago.

Basically the service gives you a new phone number.  People call that number and you can filter the calls in about a million different ways.  Sounds neat if you don’t really want to give your REAL phone number away.

Driving teens to death

Filed under: General — bigred @ 3:31 pm

My heart is really going out to all the teen deaths this year.  It seems like it is either getting out of control, or the public is just hearing more about it.  We won’t know the stats until the end of this year, but it seems that more deaths are being reported on the news this year.

West Michigan has had way to many deaths this year.  12 fatal accidents involving teens on rural roads.  15 people dying in them.  They had a total of 4 deaths in one week.

Michigan uses the graduated licence program.  Is it working?  I thought it was when I went through it.  Years since I took drivers training and I reflect back thinking that It was not enough.  Laws need to get tuffer, restrictions higher, and we need to find out better where the problem areas are.  I think its time to set down the phones, kick out the friends, and take a course on physics.  The big blinky lights and big red sign don’t seem to be enough.  I can admit I’ve been got off gaurd and I’ve ran at least 1-2 lights because either I was distracted or plain didn’t see them.  Driving is hard.  Its hard to hear about the deaths, but we all need to find ways to become more awear of our surrounding.  I don’t think there is one real blame yet.

My feelings are that teens, feel that rural roads are safer than city streets.  I grew up in a small town, and rual roads meant, 70mph and no cops.  I wore a seat belt an given I had a 5 mile drive to town.  I didn’t have as many opertunities for accidents with the short distances and few cross roads.

Cell phones are the other main distraction.  I guess I must have missed the “TEXT MESSEAGE” generation by about a half a generation or something.  I hate those damn things.  I can’t type fast enough, can’t get the words right and
