I had a coupon to get a free cinnamon melty thing with a premium coffee.  When I pull up to the first window, I’m told they only have regular coffee and of course it takes a translator to tell me this which holds up the line.  I said, fine.  Charge me only for a coffee and give me my free melty things.  After entering in the launch sequence, the lady motions with her thumb to pull up to the next window.  They then hand me a bag and go into a huge speech about not having special coffee.  Hearing this for the second time of course just makes my morning and holds up the line again.

In the end, I get the regular coffee and melt things, however I’m not sure what I was charged for   sad morning.. 

Actually the computer is just a new one, but and upgrade from the old one.

I told myself that I wasn’t going to build another one, and that I only wanted “small” computers.  I just can’t stay away from speed.

The first time I heard about this error, my immediate thoughts were.  “Damn you VISTA”.

After looking at the problem for more than 2 seconds, I realized it was Adobe.

The error of course is the “Windows Installer Service could not be accessed.”

On ohad’s Weblog I found the answer that I already knew.

On Adobe’s site they have a TechNote.  They say NOT to turn off User Account Control.  I say BULL%#@@.

Come on adobe.  Bad excuses.  Get it right.  This problem has been known since day one of public Vista.  I just tried installing Reader today and got the same error that happened back in January.

The new version named “Double Double” is awesome. Lots of good security. You may not respect the new version until you look under the hood. Again I stress how the fliker style tagging is awesome.

Also, don’t forget to get the newer version of Wordpress. Most people should be up to the new version, but there was a security flaw detected when they Wordpress’s servers got hacked. Please download the latest version if you have not already. version. (Ironically http://wordpress.org is down during the time I’m writing this post) ( I think the new version is 2.1.2 )

While working on my gas mileage program I was adding some bling effects using mootools.  Firefox worked fine but IE7 had problems.  I had a background of a DIV fad from yellow to the background color.  Firefox worked find in a 500ms transition.  IE7 waited for 500ms and instantly changed. 

The problem was in my CSS I had used the color “yellow”.  Mootools and IE do not like this.  A simple fix is to use the HEX number for yellow. 

So, if anyone is going to use MOOTOOLS just make sure you’re using HEX numbers for your colors in your CSS.

Some people like me tend to love stats about their car.  Every time I go to gas station I get a receipt so I can keep track of the gas mileage.  The problem is after a day or so I lose the darn things.  Also I forget what the mileage was a month ago.  Knowing the gas mileage of a car and its consistency can tell you the health of your car.  Changing air filters or even tire pressure can effect mileage.   Having long term statistics can then tell you that their may be a problem.  (and its just geeky)

To relieve this problem I working on a project to calculate gas mileage.  I know this has been done before, but I plan on putting in stats that have never been done before and will take to thinking about how to do.  The question is does anyone out there have input ideas / features they would like to see if they used this program?  Is there other features besides gas mileage that would be useful?  Feel free to leave some comments on what you think it should do.

Status is the database is getting updated and changed daily.  I am not happy with my schemas because features are being added and taken away.  Last night I scrapped it all and started new.  I have some of the basic R&D AJAX work done now too to allow me to have a universal JS file with many functions all in one.

It’s a site that lets you post to your page from a cell phone, making it that much easier to inform people that you’re about to drop a deuce or have sex with “your mom”. Sweet!

Wow so many things to talk about.  I’m not sure to start out with a series on Asshole drivers or if I should talk about photo stuff, or my new gas mileage side project.  There is also the non-sense about my new car that is always fun to talk about.  “Rivertown Honda can suck my balls”  Sorry that’s an outburst but I recommend the boycott of them.  Tell Garry the Service manager that his department does shitty work too.   That’s right ladies and gentlemen.  This is the Internet and I feel like swearing today because its freedom of speech and you can leave this page if you don’t want to read anymore.  Afterall http://they.mislead.us gets to say what he wants.  LOL  (just a joke, FJ.  Your site rocks!!!)

GALLERY2 UPDATE!!!
