Sorry everyone. The comments were broken for the longest time and I just got around to fixing them tonight. Turns out it was a stupid plugin. Spama K2. Their was actually a built in feature in the plugin option to rebuild broken tables. The sql table was broken from all the darn upgrades I made to my wordpress version.
I saw this test today.
See who your superhero girlfriend would be.
And I just noticed that because I had to use an iframe to link to this you can not see the picture and link in some rss readers. Google reader does show the correct graphics. If you go directly to the post you can see whats missing.
My girlfriend was “Mary Jane”.
The link to take the test is: Comic Book girlfriend test
I want to set the rules here by saying this post is only about noticeable observations today. Also for clarity I’m going to use black and white to represent two major views. I understand these are not the “PR” words to be using, but I just want to make this understandable.
NPR interviewed many people today in regards to Americans playing the “race card” when liking Obama. One person stated that white Americans will feel better for themselves for liking Obama just because he’s black. So because you support him, therefore you are going to use that as an excuse to say “I’m ok with black Americans and I’m not racist in any way.”
That lady is on crack and so is NPR. Come on why can’t we get to the the real observations and facts.
Here are the observations so far.
He is a human.
He is a potential candidate.
He has policies that Americans need to look at.
Skin tone is stupid, doesn’t matter. What this country needs is a good president.
I’m not a supporter of any candidates, but this just got me riled up while listening to NPR today. Some of the callers were so uneducated and shouldn’t even be aloud to call themselves America. GRRRRR
Some interesting other observations. I’ve heard a lot about of Obama’s name being thrown around this year. I asked some people of the younger generation and they said the same thing. Why is this I thought to myself? I went over to his website to get a gander and noticed something at the bottom of his webpage.

facebook, youtube, and flicker. Looks like someone who really knows to how to hit the younger generations. This is awesome to see someone finding a way to pin point certain groups of voters. I only hope those younger voters will read his views, policies and make educated votes based off that information.

I run a website for a University Organization which consist of Gallery2. It gets quite a few visitors for the gallery. Yesterday I went to upgrade that gallery but ran into a problem.
Something to add to anyone’s checklist when updating their gallery2, would be to clear the cache. I ended up having a 80mb backup file. I then looked through the rows to find a 68mb cache entry.
Under the Administrator area of your gallery there is a maintenance area that allows you to clear the cache. Make sure you do this before backing up.

This made it onto dig.
I have to laugh cause I’m from Michigan. I Haven’t gotten my new one yet. I will be getting a personalized one anyways, so I don’t think I’ll be having any problems fitting it.
Lets talk adds. Why not, everyone else is today….
Anyways…
My favorites are the three following:
Coming in at #3: Grand Theft Auto coke looking ad. It looked good and was fun to watch. Nice graphics.
#2: GM’s auto robot. I’ve never connect emotion with a robot until this ad. There something just funny about watching a robot get fired and in the end jumping into a river to commit suicide.
#1: Some people don’t agree with this pick, but I have to say the Fedex commercial where they are in space. I pick this one because I still laugh at last years. There something funny about a caveman getting kicked out of a cave, then punting a small dinosaur only to be squashed by a much LARGER one. Well, this year, we see the happy astronaut floating away (not sure why he’s happy cause no one would be able to save him)…anyways, he’s floating away and laughing, having a great time, only to be struck out of frame by a passing asteroid.
Well thats my list. I’m still waiting to see fulljeff’s blog on the commercials yet.
