Google accounts confusion with dots (.)s

This post explains how google gmail only looks at a dot (.) in your user name when logging in, but if you want to send emails, you don’t need to include dots. So firstName.LastName@gmail.com is the same as firstNameLastName@gmail.com.

Just found it as an interesting point.

Zune is launched

Filed under: Technology, microsoft — bigred @ 4:53 pm

So can Microsoft keep up with Itunes. I think they have a ways to go, but I think I’d get one out of spite of IPOD nation fad. I like macs, I like ipods(don’t own one), but I’m tired of tripping over them all the time. Maybe it could be a fresh change.

(I for one don’t’ think the brown is bad, but would like to see blue or green)

Facebook getting hit in the face

Filed under: Complaint, Technology — bigred @ 10:53 am

According to the following article, Facebook, will be going open to anyone.  I for one liked how facebook was representing select groups and had a more personal feel unlike its competitors(like mysapce).  I have never used mysapce and never will.  This new move might make me stop using facebook.  I’ve liked its features up until this past week, were they allowed too much information out.  They later fixed the problem and that’s where I thought the problems would end.  By opening it up to all the public, they are really losing what the program was originally designed to be.

A social network connection program no more :(   Now its just becoming myspace clone.
