After a short week of the new (used) gamecube, I went on eBay to get a second one.? Good old animal crossing and the girlfriend.? She wants to play that and I do too, but at the same time I’m all into WindWaker now.? I ended up spending $10 less on this second Cube, but didn’t get any games with it.? However, after looking around for a S-video cable your looking at retail $15 or used for $12-$15.? A second controller cost about the same.? This means I spent $30 on controllers and got the game cube for a really cheap price if you think of it.? I ended up saving money, and I think I could actually turn all the parts and pieces in and get more money back than I spent on it orginally.

So GameCube may not be OLD yet, but to some gamers they find it to be outdated for graphics, sounds, flashing lights, ect.? I personally love my Xbox and my 360, but I??m feeling that the games out are lacking the replay ability.? They give me nothing to keep going.
After a very short decision I made a purchase on ebay for a GameCube platinum edition with Metroid Prime double pack.? I then proceeded to buy Zelda Wind Waker, Zelda Orarina of Time (special GameCube edition), Luigi??s Mansion, and of course Animal Crossing.
Needless to say, I now need to buy a second GameCube just so I can play.? My girlfriend has once again claimed the GameCube and Animal Crossing as her own.
With the few games I bought I think I??m set for a long time.? I remember tons of people complaining about Wind Waker and I had to give it a try.? Of course I??ve started to fall in love with it even after 10 minutes.? Most importantly I did pre-order the new Zelda due out in November.? I??m told that this will be the highest sold game this year.
Next on the list are Double Dash and maybe another Mario Title.? I have to say Nintendo, really has the most entertaining titles out of any console.? If only I could find enough time to play all of the games, or get the girlfriend off.
I couldn’t help but do a repost of this. Its been going around and I’m sure you’ve seen it.
I love seeing Microsoft’s adds to sell their XBOX in Japan.
here’s the link to the video.

Thanks to Jeff, there is now a link on the header.? Because there is no image in the HTML, I just added a div around the existing div and added onclick to that.? The style sheet then had cursor:pointer added to it too.
?Thanks jeff for pointing that out.? I haven’t really looked at all the broken parts of the hacked up site lately.
Internet Explorer 7…? I just heard a hiss and maybe a few boos amoung you all, but hang on, just hang on a moment.? Microsoft makes some greate products.? They also make some not so good, and sure they were behind the game a little bit with fire fox kicking their butts, but I think you might want to re-consider.? My past weeks of trying out the new LIVE sites that microsoft uses and today the newer IE7 beta3, I must say, “give it a chance”.
Some of the key features that I do REALY like are the following:
- rss reader – pretty can do about anything all the other basics can do and a bit more.? Clean looking too.
- tabs – looking good. clean look.? (I would like them to open differently though)? I love my tabs…usually have about 100+ open at once.
- quick tabs – this is a page that opens up showing you a small screen shot for each tab you have open.? I like this one a lot.
- stylesheets – this is the one I’m realy excitied about.? YES, padding is working now.? If you use conditional comments, be sure to change your old pages to say [if lte IE 6]? That way your regular style sheets will work that your use to using with firefox.
There are more features that I like, but those are the start.? I also wanted to add, I have not had a single problem with any webpages or content, or programs accessing the internet.? I’ll be the first to complain if I see any.
Its worth it.? Give it a chance.? Even if you don’t think you’ll use it, you might still want to try it to prepare your websites if your a developer.
Google has already been in Michigan, but it seams that a larger group is moving in.
The Detroit Freepress featured the following article.
Looks promising.
edit: I sent out emails early on this today, but it looks that patterson beat me to the blog on this one. His post found here.
This is in response to oneof.us where there is a great posting on comparing MAC OS vs Win OS http://oneof.us/2006/07/06/apples-new-os-and-microsoft/
I??m disappointed. That??s about all I can say.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/data/ref/winfs/ has some information, but shows, that its more than a file system. It??s a whole new world for MSFT. It sounds like WinFS may be seen yet??(maybe??.) in SQL Server and ADO.NET. Who knows. It would have been great though if they could have found a way to fit in into Vista
I??m not the only one that feels the same way either. Many people at from winfs blogs have said they won??t go to vista now.

Also the rumors say that Mr. Gates was pushing for it a little too much. His departure means the end of WinFs? I doubt that.
Quentin Clark, lead manager for WinFS, said the following:
Since WinFS is no longer being delivered as a standalone software component, people will wonder what that means with respect to the Windows platform. Just as Vista pushed forward on many aspects of the search and organize themes of the Longhorn WinFS effort, Windows will continue to adopt work as it’s ready.
Wait and see approach now??
