Well I finaly recieved all the needed parts for my cammera. I purchased a Olympus TCON 1.7 lens for my digital cammera. Turns out it works just as good as the Fuji plus its cheapers.

I also got a ND 2 filter, a Pro UV filter and a cable release.

I test the lens out tonight in the parking lot. Its funny I actually have the picture taken through the lens in fucus better. It might have been because it was easier to “steady” the camera with the lens on.

Over this past weekend, I made it up to the old home up in Ludington. They just happened to be having the Gus Maker 3 on 3 basketball turnament. This is a lot of fun to either play in or spectate. I of course couldn’t resist taking a few photos while I was up there. As FullJeff would say… I had to “evaluate the situation”.

The Pro court was full of top notch players.

Also over the weekend, I did do some photo work out a Big Sable Light House. Lots of fun out there. If anyone would like a High resolution picture let me know, I’ll email one out to you.

Also I’m working on all the scripts that make gallery usefull and stuff for wordpress. I’m currently working on something new to change the way that archives show up. More to come on that later.

Well, I just discovered the correct code to get Random images to show up. I could find tons and tons of java scripts, but I find PHP more universal, so I found a PHP script and hacked the thing apart. I was going to use one made by Andy Mack, but this one is more workable. I think it’s pretty cool. If anyone wants the code, I can send it to you.

So there is this company that makes the computer for GVSU. Leadman. Let me tell you what they did to me (and other consultaints today).

So … In case anyone doesn’t know yet, …..Leadman puts a computer case in plastic and styrofoam. Then that goes in a box, to which goes in a bigger box. A keyboard box and motherboard box is also packaged together in the big box.

And then today they deliver 7 pallets of the shit. That would be 132 computers that needed to be UNBOXED. So a team of expert box cutters and cart riders assembled this morning for about 2 hours to move the computer 100 yards acrross a parking lot up an elevator and into a cramped corrner. FUN TIMES

So the weekend started out this way…..

Fighting trafic through Muskegon…then getting to Ludington. Took some really good pictures of the sunset…(sorry dont’ have these up yet, cause i’m not home yet)… Even made the girl friend look good….LOL….. anyways….

Saterday made it down to the beach before the skies got bad. Had a great time at the state park. By 3pm the skies were bad and we were back home sitting around. Of course the rain came down hard….

OK….now to the 4th.

Crappy day all day. Then we said…”it won’t rain….lets go to the beach to see the fireworks.” After making the perfect beach couch and hunkering down in it, we saw the sky had turrned darker. So we installed a imbrella in the beach couch. Of course the mist came then the rain then it stopped right around dark. About 10:15 the fireworks started. But apprently only certain ones were working. Maybe it was wet fuses. Dont’ know doesn’t matter becuase you couldnt’ see them anywhere. The fog had moved in by the time the third firework went off. So with the low clouds, fog, and smoke, you couldn’t see anything. It looked sorta like colorfull heat lightning. People took off right away, blaming Ludington for the weather. saying…”Worst fireworks ever, what were they thinking.”
What a buch of winers. I’m pretty sure all the complaints were coming from NON Michiganders. Well maybe I can find some Monday night fireworks to see or maybe i’ll just waith untill 2005.

Regardless it was a pretty good weekend. And a good monday (not having to where the IT VEST).
